Preparation for Confirmation for youth is a two year process.  The earliest a youth may be Confirmed is 9th Grade (freshman).  The first year of preparation the youth must be enrolled in the Catholic Youth 4 Christ (CY4C) program and have at least 80% attendance.  The second year the teen must be enrolled in the CY4C program with at least 80% attendance, attend weekly Mass, attend 7 parent/youth Confirmation classes and perform 4 service opportunities.  The youth should also attend 2 retreats during the 2 year period, and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation regularly.  Confirmation is typically scheduled in early May.
